Characteristics of the Alaska gates

Description

A wide range of fully customisable gates, available in various sizes, materials, and infill panel options.

Gates available in custom sizes, depending on requirements, made from square or rectangular tubular frames, according to the desired dimensions, strength, and aesthetic preference of the client.
They usually feature one or more lower panels. They can be manufactured to match the adjoining fence or chosen from various finishing options. Made of steel galvanised in accordance with UNI EN 10244-2 and polyester thermosetting powder-coated in any RAL colour upon request. They can also be supplied in a hot-dip galvanised version.

  • Ball-bearing hinges
  • Lock
  • Stop post
  • Galvanised drop bolt for ground locking (for double-leaf gates)
  • Central stop (for double-leaf gates)
  • Safety cables (for swing gates)
  • Ground track (for sliding gates)
The gates are pre-assembled and installed either in the ground or on a concrete wall, in holes of suitable dimensions. Posts with anchor bolt installation are also available. All types of installation require that the centre-to-centre distance of the posts conforms to the technical specification agreed with the customer during the design phase. Once the gates are installed, the leaves are adjusted. For sliding gates, a 20 mm solid round rail is supplied, welded to an IPE 80 beam, to which counter plates with studs are anchored for installing the gate posts without any margin for error. This system, patented by Retissima Srl, enables building contractors who typically install the rails to prepare everything to a professional standard. Specific technical data sheets are also provided with clear instructions for preparing cable ducts for future automation.
Any gate can be automated by Retissima. Alternatively, it can be prepared for future automation through the provision, during manufacture, of suitable holes for routing electrical cables. Upon request, prearrangements are made with cable ducts cast into the foundations. Manual or electric locks can be fitted to any gate, and any optional features can be agreed during the design phase through our detailed technical data sheets.
